@killramos and I discussed; we both agreed that we are both too soft for the subway
Im a softy too but the subways almost a necessity to get around, you can cab but the traffic is so bad that there were many times where walking was faster according to google maps. I totally forgot my wife got kinda chased by a crackhead lady with no pants on the platform, the lady was too cracked out to do any harm but it was scary then and hilarious now You will have a whole new appreciation for our transit system if you use it lol

and I did not have the only say in the matter (most people just want it done ASAP and don't care about quality).

If anything we made a better decision because we had a consensus and were all on the same page.

I’d like to understand more about this “too cracked out to do any harm” concept

They've deployed the National Guard to the NYC subways and other public areas/transit. They are doing bag checks and pat downs and also having a presence on board the trains apparently too. Apparently the shooting vid earlier in the thread showed that getting blades and handguns through the security is possible still. Crazyness - that women straight up merc'd buddy in the back, stabbed him several times, then pulled the whole "dindu nothin" act. Then her b/f took buddy's handgun away from him and blasted him in the face a couple times, then gave him another bonus ball or two for a total of 4 shots.

DA decided not to charge anyone. New York, Neeeeeeeew YOOOOOOOOORK.

Such a great city. They really had a lid on a lot of this sort of BS, until the defund movement/etc came along.
