Default Anyone here ever use a Knee Scooter?

Broke my ankle yesterday and in a solid cast for probably the next 6 weeks or so. Me and crutches are not friends. Has anyone used one of those knee scooters in place of crutches for getting around? Seems like a solid option but some real life experiences would be appreciated!

    Yup.

When I had my ankle put back together a few years back I used one.

Dramatically less tiring using it than crutches if you have to go any kind of distances in your day to day. I was in the cast for 2 months and crutches are dreadful.

Particularly awesome for DT Calgary usage zooming around +15’s in full hoon mode.

It’s not the solution for every situation but I thoroughly enjoyed mine, land if I recall it was covered by insurance so that’s a plus.

Wish I had one of these when I tore my tendon in my foot last month. I'd do it, like everyone else said crutches are gay AF.

I fractured my Calcaneus a few years ago. Rented one from Co-Op medical supplies on McLeod Tr. near 94th.
It was a lifesaver. Hated crutches!

I used one for two months, was great, made me lazy, walking afterwards was so slow. Rent it.

Have had 6 ankle surgeries over the years. Never used the scooter.
    Manned up and crutches.
I would go with the iwalk2.0 seems a lot more mobile than the scooter.

With my MTB injury I used all 3. The scooter is clutch and the iwalk was also pretty key. I used the scooter to get around DT but then the iwalk was good for things like going to the bathroom and carrying the baby around or whatever.

With those 2 I rarely used the crutches

I had foot surg in January and used crutches as I was too cheap to rent one. Crutches are exhausting.

I haven't used a knee scooter yet, but I feel like the most difficult part would be having to put that thing in a trunk. But now that I think about it, you probably won't be driving anyway.

I have one. It has been a godsend. So much easier than crutches. It you plan on going outside get one with the off-road wheels. They will handle gravel etc. much better. I got mine from Amazon. https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B09...e?ie=UTF8&th=1 . It has changed a bit, but it is essentially the same.
