Given the OPs stance on the Middle East and all the current shenanigans, I find this thread extremely ironic.

    Good luck to the OP!

I did not personally hire this GC. He was brought in after the project was started as he replaced someone that moved to BC.

Got an email from the neighbours today addressing their concerns. Some things on their list is not their business like my landscaping. Name: IMG-20240404-WA0008.jpg

Am I crazy, or is almost none of that any concern of the neighbour? Maybe items 1 and 5. And 6, if it's alluding to the fact that GC got gravel on the neighbours property (although, based on that poor attempt at a sentence, it's anyone's guess).

6 is trying to say that getting spackle/stucco mud onto their gravel stones is super difficult to clean up.

Yeah 5/6 seems reasonable, 1 maybe, the rest they can blow it out their ass. Have fun living beside someone who demands to know the construction schedule for your fucking fence.

I'm changing the one side of the patio to a privacy glass and extending its height. Works both ways I guess, I don't see them they don't see me

The privacy glass install should have professional Art Room consultants assess it in multiple lighting conditions.

When you reply to that email just reply to the ones that are actual concerns and completely ignore the rest if you want to try and keep the peace. No need to engage on the rest of it. They are big time over stepping there so best to let them know you will ensure they set up any tarps for stucco and leave it at that. I get it, it sucks to live next to construction, but thats the shitty part of living in the city.

Although I agree with #1, its a city alley and you can't just go graveling it yourself. You could scrape it with a bobcat but thats about it.

If it's new construction the alley likely hasn't settled and will need to regraveled regardless.

They were upset from the start of the development. My project was approved by the city and they tried very hard for it not to go through because it blocked their view as the original house was a bungalow and now I'm building a two story.

They are going to be very hard to please but I'll do my best to be polite. The back alley and tarps were already discussed with them a few days ago but I guess they wanted to send an email too with more concerns.

With the snow and wet conditions the machines used did cause it to be uneven. I planned to get that fixed once the weather gets better as its right in front where I'll be parking so of course I want it fixed.

Whats also fucked is OP's future. If they aren't even living there and the neighbour is already like this, future years aren't going to be any better.
