Tile bit needed and technique or you risk cracking the tile. Also unsure but seems like you'll either clamp it to the tile and split it or it won't be tight enough.
I have done it a few times by using spacers and drilling the holes slightly bigger than the spacer so that the pressure is on the spacer through the drywall/studs vs the tile. Worked decent for lighter TV's but id be concerned if its a huge heavy one. In that case I would PL600 a board to the tile as well to distribute the load on the tile as well.

called it. center of tv is above eye level while standing = too high (but looks fine).

So the typical hanging height for art is also the guideline for TVs? That you watch whilst sitting down?

gtfoh with that shit. I have a TV above the fireplace and it's just fine. I have another two that are a little below eye level when standing, they're both also just fine.

TV size <-> viewing distance is a much more useful metric for viewing enjoyment.

That TV is to high if you are sitting on a couch, should have got a Mantle Mount 340 with the Recessed Box.

Need a higher couch, that solves the issue.

You realize you are talking to the guy who made his own furniture out of salad bowls right?

My couch is actually thicker and higher up. It works for me as I might put a sound bar under the tv, not sure but it's a good height for me

I think the easiest solution is just don’t invite Brent to any dinner parties

It’s fine… You the only one who has to be comfortable while watching TV. Haters don’t have to come watch it with you. FEA
