- He plunged his feet in a bucket of dry ice for 10 hours that got frostbitten to the point of double amputation below the calf
- However, medical staff were suspicious while assessing him
- Days before the scam, he bought expensive polices for life insurance, travel insurance and accident insurance. He was paid out $7500 by one insurer but has to pay it back
