Importing a previously exported car

Hey Beyond,

I was wondering if Beyond could help point me in the direction of what costs would be incurred on a 2020 car that originated from Canada (worth over $100k) but was exported to the USA. Looking to bring back to Canada. Since it originated from Canada I can’t imagine luxury tax and the whole gst would be applicable? It’s my understanding anything built after 2020 imported would be subject to luxury tax, but this seems to be a unique situation and having some trouble finding a solid answer.

I imagine it should be pretty easy considering it was originally a Canadian car. I read into import USA car from Canada to USA before and it was a lot easier.

You are best asking a broker, they will provide a lot of free info along the way. Maybe even poke someone like Kulu?
