LF: Good Indy That Knows Carbs

I have an old (2003ish) Yamaha XT225 that's mostly collecting dust. Had it since new, low kms, but haven't ridden it much. It runs great when it starts, but it's been really really hard to start. Does a few weird things (e.g., floods like crazy when trying to start w/ choke on).

Have thrown a few parts and a few hours at it, but I'm tired of that. I just want to give it to someone to sort, and ideally not spend $1k on parts/labour for a bike that's only worth $2k.

Anyone have a suggestion for a good indy, or a reliable mechanic that moonlights out of his garage, and knows carbs (or even ideally something about this bike)?

Buy a new carb off amazon. Drop in replacement. Prob 50 bucks.

If you don't want to do that take the carb off and bring it to me. Your idle jet is plugged and needs cleaning. I have the tools.

This thing has been cleaned up, down, and sideways. I think it's more likely that the jets need adjusting, which is outside my skillset.

I'm hesitant to bring it to you, only because it's been a huge waste of time so far, and I feel bad about wasting someone else's time haha.
