    Default Shelves for garage

Is there anyone here that would build me a wooden shelve along the top of my garage? What would something like this typically cost? Name: Screenshot_20240518_112352_Messenger.jpg

How many ft of wall are you looking to cover?
and how deep are your shelves? Mine are just shy of 24, just to use up a full sheet of ply... but I think next time I'd do 16 for some, because 24's are too deep for some stuff and I end up losing stuff at the back

Some folks smarter than me advised against shelves hanging from the ceiling but instead from the walls.

I'd assume it would be supported on the wall and ceiling for safety, at least that's what I'd do

This is what my garage looks like now. What are some suggestions for set up? I'm thinking 2ft deep wooden shelves along the back wall. Can store rims there. Just don't know what to do for the sides.

The tracks of the garage is gonna take up half of that size length and that right side isnt flush. Thoughts?

Whomever does this, be sure they do a better job. I wouldn't trust that to hold any appreciable weight.

If the walls lose support, the ceiling for safety is going to be the least of your issues.

When I did my shelving, instead of the vertical 2x4 going to the ceiling, I used aircraft cable and a turnbuckle to support the front side by bringing it back to the wall on an angle. I'm far from en engineer but it's shown no signs of issue

I was thinking of maybe incorporating a pully system shelve for tires. Tires are heavy as fuck, I'd like to load them and pull them up to the ceiling

Somewhat related - anyone found a good solution for getting larger/heavier truck tires off the floor in the garage?

Have historically used the typical Canadian Tire wall mounted tire racks for my cars and been happy with them, but I'm not seeing any rated for the weights or diameters of larger truck tires.

Give these guys a call ,

They did my garage couple of years ago. I highly recommend them.
During that time they installed two tire racks for me. They are normal size ones. But I do believe they have ones that will fit the truck tires as well
