Feeder main repairs nearly completed ahead of schedule. Expected to start filling the line Monday and lift restrictions on the 21st
    There were restrictions? Oops

They only really needed to do like 16 locations I believe. The other 6 were in case they had more time. I haven't asked how many they did, but with the lack of people following water restrictions I am thinking they stopped short of the total goal.
I'm told 21 repairs were completed so it must have gone pretty smoothly.

How do you measure "one repair"? Probably any way you choose. Not at all surprising they did a higher "number of repairs" than expected. I brushed my teeth 43 times this morning.

By segment of pipe. They had 22 total separate excavation locations in which they wanted to complete repairs. They reinforced the pipe in these individual locations.

Yeah, they were not cutting any pipe this time, so I think it was a lot less complicated. They built a reinforcement casing around the pipe, some concrete, fuckload of steel.

Yeah this was all rehab jobs rather than repair. Repair pipe wont be arriving until next year sometime. Hopefully the rehab holds and they don't need to use it.

Impossible to know for sure but makes you wonder with the life of the pipe not lasting longer.

Based on progress, we expect water restrictions will be lifted sometime on Sunday.
