I don't think there is much chance their defence holds up all season... and they will move some key pieces (especially it they play good)... so enjoy it while it lasts haha.

I clearly remember Calgary was one of those team that was so written off this year from all pundits that they are like the only team from that group to be surprising everyone out of the gate. Time will tell, but rather them +4 than -4. This gives the coaching staff more to assess on what is working and what is not.

The team play is reminding me a lot of the Vegas inaugural misfits season. Average to below average top lines, while our bottom lines dominate everyone else. Just a very evenly spread out team that’s got something to prove, so they’re out working and playing above their pay grade. That said, it’s 4 games, against 4 weak opponents. We’ll see how things look when we face some real adversity in the next couple of weeks with better opponents.

I always liked Lomberg back in the day, but his years with the Panthers have made him extremely effective.
