Real question seems to be who has eaten a bad pizza, one where you've eaten and thought "this is fucking terrible."
Double Zero in Chinook. Tasted like a saltine cracker that someone sprayed a mister of tomato sauce in the air and waved the pizza under it, during a cheese shortage.
If they made it that way to sell more beer, it worked.

Same with WOP (when it existed). Overpriced, under topping, over hyped.

Saying there's no such thing as bad pizza is like saying there's no such thing as bad sex. Yes, yes there is.

I don’t think this thread is changing anyone’s opinions.

It did however make me hungry

That one in Bow Valley Square is quite good, no matter what flavour you choose. Verona Pizza.

    For Greek style:
Bow tie > crispy crust > Sammy's. Sammy's has plummeted in quality over the last few years.

If I'm DT, or willing to leave the dirty south, Noble pie.

I've tried their carrot cake and cheesecake, both are dynamite. It's expensive and the serving size of 1-2 is if you want instant diabetes - it's huge.

I'm a sucker for a nice cheesy and chewy Hawaiian.

Great Canadian Pizza has a $9.99 14" large special once in a while that I indulge in.

I also tried Pizza Maru (korean style) and it's decent if you want a lighter tasting pizza. Definitely not super heavy or sodium intense. I think I just like the atmosphere in the restaurant lol!

To me, there is no "best". It's just what you feel like you're in the mood for.

I don't like my pizza's too gooey and always prefer a bit well done. For a chain type pie that has been popping up that I am enjoying right now is Red Swan Pizza. The ingredients are all decent quality, the sauce not gross like a lot of places and they use sesame seeds on the crust edge which is much yummier than I would have ever expected. A good crust is at least 75% of my pizza enjoyment.

    Solid pie!

If you are in Canmore that Rocky Mountain flatbread co is a great stop

Really unique with their true wood fired oven that is hard to replicate.

I think you can buy their pizzas frozen some places but its not the same if it didn't come out of their oven.

I can't get enough of the Costco food court pepperoni pizzas

Controversial opinion, but that stuff above with just a bunch of cold cuts slapped on is terrible... can't say I've noticed that anywhere other than Canada

Verns is a pizza all its own and I love it. Still go to the OG location for slices every now and then, been going there for 28 years haha
