I inherited my dad's PHEV Pacifica a few months back - for a Chrysler product it's excellent, I had planned on trading/selling it and picking up a 2 door decent performing ICE car with the proceeds, but I think I'm going to keep it. Very handy to have a van, plus plugging it in at home with the factory lvl 1 that comes with it charges it from 10% to over 90% overnight, but we have a L2 now as well, and that gives me 55km on electric propulsion only, which is more than we need for city grocery getting type driving. The motor hasn't even turned on since I put my plates on it. I'd driven it in the winter before a bit, and it performed really well on EV power even in -30, but it's in a heated garage which helps. We have a few ICE vehicles, and 1 is great in the winter (ZR2), and I wouldn't rely on this PHEV Pacifica as my only option to drive in Central Canadian winters - no way Jose. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Anyhow, if Mazda makes the new Miata as a PHEV, I'm in like Flynn. Or any decent sub $100k sports car that makes such a powertrain.
