    Default Team Building Ideas

Well a team building event was just thrown in my lap to coordinate.

    Beyond, help me.
    ~10-13 people
Varying levels of athleticism, genders, ages.

Location ideally North Calgary - Closer to Deerfoot the better.
    Ideas thus far.

    1) Locked Rooms - Seems very welcoming for most. Are these still popular? Anyone recommend a venue?
    2) Axe Throwing - Seems like a decent option?
    3) Speeders - Issue would be the varying levels of athleticism / interest in racing.

What other idea's would you all recommend.

    Bowling?

    Skeet?

    Top Golf?

Cooking Class? ( actually we built a charitable aspect into this a few times doing brown bagging for kids or making chili for the women’s shelter )

What a terrible idea. Those are the worst, I can't believe people still push them.

I haven't done Speeders in a long time, but it's fun. It's not about athleticism, but you need to not have any obese mutants... and usually there are some

Lawn Bowling is fun and everyone can do it.

Go to the rec room. Pick a few games that anyone can easily play and have a prize for the winners of those games.

Plus there's food and drinks, don't need athleticism for any of that shit.

Me and a few buddies from one of my old jobs still do it every Christmas, ive yet to be beaten at the block stacking game lol

If you want to be artsy and weird, try fire escape. Not that it'd be particularly fun for most groups, but well, the weirdo cat ladies of your team might like it.

Soggy Biscuit is always a blast.

Edit: Don't do an escape room. Most of them are run down and suck. The only good ones serve alcohol on premise, which you are avoiding at this time.

Speeders is the best bet of the mentions so far.

Well imagine if instead of writing that letter to the editor, she just posts on a car forum for car enthusiasts. That's Kritafo.

I have to do that this week… was already canceled once due to lack of interest.

The new Chinook speeders looks like it’s gonna be pretty sweet.

…just go with a classic pizza party

    1) Locked Rooms
Locked rooms are hard to coordinate if there are people in your team in that demographic...

e.g., I've probably done at least half the rooms in Calgary.

When are you looking to do this (as in how soon, and what time... is it during business hours?) and what kind of budget?
If you're closer to xmas, I personally really liked volunteering for Toy Mountain.

    Activate was pretty fun.
Different rooms with different games. You can work as a team or work against each other.

Not sure how many people they can accommodate at once, but a VR place would be fun.
