Default Does anyone know anything about camber kits

    Hey guys,

I have a lowered G35 on coilovers, the car drives straight and doesn't pull on any sides. However, all 4 tires have excessive wear on the inner (a lot of camber on the rear tires) Friend of mine told me to get a camber kit for the car. This is where it gets confusing for me. I know I need to purchase front adjustable control arms. What about for the rears? Do I purchase rear adjustable control arms or adjustable toe arms? I think toe arms replaces the spring bucket.

Controls arms will definitely help but also could lead towards needing adjustable tow arms as well. All depends on how low she sits. Camber kits (those oblong bolts) only get you a couple of degrees. The adjustable arms are the proper way to do it.

You should buy as much adjustment as possible. I would get both toe arms and control arms.

When you lower your car, you are changing the suspension geometry. As the car goes lower, all of the suspension arms will have to increase in length. The factory arms are now too short and will move all of the alignment angles negative. The factory adjusters do not have enough adjustment in them to compensate for the lowering.Hence your tire wear.

Aftermarket adjustable are suck to adjust. I'm putting rear camber arms into a vehicle right now. Loosening and tightening the jamb nuts always suck, access is always limited. These types of alignments take hours to do and is just a fight. Be prepared for an expensive alignment.

    Close, it's a Cooper S.

I'm not a big fan of mini's. It has been a terrible morning.

Thanks guys, I will probably need spc toe bolts because the oem bolts will probably be an issue with adjustment. The only thing with the spc toe bolts is that I will need a dremel or something to widen the holes which I'll use their template to trace right?

    Something like this

    And a die grinder.

When grinding, take your time. It is easy to turn the hole into an amoeba shaped mess.
