Its not that. If you are a dedicated video editor then perhaps a Mac is for you. But if you do a lot of other stuff like gaming and such then a Windows machine will always win.

Unfortunately, gaming and industry apps are the only savior for Windows. There is a reason why MS is trying so hard to migrate to ARM.

Only reason why my desktop is still Windows is because of gaming and kernel anti-cheat. Homelab is full linux, laptops are all macbooks.

I love my M1 MBP.

That said I still need to buy a real windows laptop some time soon because O&G software is from the dark ages.

Currently running arm widows with fusion which is actually pretty good. But doesn’t always play nice with some tools I need to use.

I hate spending money on computers….

I just picked up a ROG Zephyrus G16 (2024) GA605.

Pretty damn snappy. Handling everything I throw at it.

Never liked MacOS. I do like their form factor though, well built.

Everyone not serious at all also uses mac, so you got in no matter where you land on the spectrum.
