What’s qualifies as a group? Would my wife and I on a policy not be one? My apologies for the ignorance on the subject.,This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
No shame needed bro. There's a lot most of us don't know about insurance and to my mind that's the main value in going with a broker. I find the advice valuable, and best part is I don't feel like I'm paying directly for that advice, because I regularly shop around, and the only cheaper options are inferior coverage.
Plus, life hack, you can get the advice during initial discussion prior to deciding where to buy your insurance.

Could see if they cover a university alumni program you are eligible for? Did I recall your SO is a nurse? Maybe that gets her eligibility? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Group is not the simple literal definition. Typically a professional organization of some type (“professional” is doing a lot of heavy lifting here, but you get the idea)This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Maybe APEGA has a group with 'the personal' to save us some money and provide some value to me for a change.
update.
lmao they do actually.
Ya I think most of us who use them do it through apega.

Been dealing with a 0% fault accident here since August 21 and it has been a nightmare. Vehicle is not drivable yet I can't get a rental with repairs being pushed to late October now to get in. They told me I'm capped to $57/day rental and a total of $1500. Trying to get in contact with them when the accident occurred was a joke (6 calls that all had close to 30 minutes of holding to get with an agent), dealing with them + rental has got zero traction just looped replies back. I had no idea it would be this brutal. My first time dealing with insurance in ~10 years or so, the changes in how you process a claim has been shocking. Once I get this fixed (hopefully in November) i'll be shopping to change my policy to someone else. Maybe TDMM or Personal for the apega discount.
Hopefully you don't have any accident (even not at fault) with that insurer.
TD was awesome for rental when my C63 was hit. Literally put me in another c class Mercedes from enterprise ( not an AMG but hey not bad ).
Personal was 100% about getting my costs down, between house and cars I literally dropped my premiums by half vs TD because they started gerrymandering their policies into these odd buckets that made staying with them untenable. The straw that broke the camels back was for my postal code they insisted on $5MM of coverage for my home and the agents had nowhere to budget on that. Literally went from a 3500 a year renewal with TD to 1600 with personal for the coverage I actually wanted.
Their app has actually been pretty good and makes things like winter storage for the M2 pretty painless. Even have apple wallet insurance cards.

Why don't you get Bill to take them to task over it? That's the primary benefit of working with a broker - they can advocate for you and shoulder some of that headache. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
My experience with Pembridge claim was actually really positive this summer, amazing that it's so different for you.
Anyone tried AMA myPace?
Sounds like it save money as it charge per 1000km. A bit too big brother-ish but it may be nice if you are spreading the miles around multiple cars.

I mean insurance is already charge per km. Just make sure you give your insurance company the right number at renewal.
