I'm sure we've discussed this before, and it's a common in several industrial areas including Moraine road NE beside beyonds favourite gas station.
Now the city want to "move them on" to somewhere unspecified.

What do you folks think? What's the balance between allowing low income people some level of dignity and shelter security, and the desire of businesses and society to control the streets and "protect" people from risky housing situations? I feel tremendous sympathy for people who are trying thier best to stay connected to society, hold down a job, and have had to be creative about keeping housing cost low. There aren't many reasonable options for people like this.Last month, the residents were given a temporary exemption from the city that they believed would allow them to stay on Moraine Road N.E. until suitable alternative arrangements can be found.
But they say this week, city officials handed them permits that expire Nov. 21.
Many of these RV's have been converted to wood heat. That's pretty risky, and against any applicable safety code.
