Been using Kasa in the old house, and moved them all to the new place + bought a ton more. Got 16 of them in total. I mainly use them to be lazy and tell google to turn lights on or off, but few of them are setup specifically for the sunrise/sunset feature for outdoor lights. Don't have to do anything really, just tell it to turn on at sunset and turn off at sunrise if you want, and it automatically knows when that is since they are WiFi connected. I have my outdoor garage lights and my front patio lights go on at sunset, and turn off at like midnight, and then the garage ones turn back on at 7AM until 8AM when wife makes it home from work as she works the night shift. Very simple to use and very cheap. I use many 3-way ones as well, just need 1 smart one on a 3-way setup, so each 3-way kit is actually good for 2 sets of 3 way switches. This isn't the case for dimmers, those require both switches to be smart.
While you could go old-school and get some of those off-net timers, I have found myself turning on the lights remotely a few times when coming home very late (2AM for example), and turning on the lights while down the street so that it's not as scary at night on the acrage haha...coyotes sound mean.
