Shit, there's only 49 users here, I doubt we'll even break 100
I am at the rate of $1500 every 2-3 years. If these ppf work as advertised (heard delamination was a thing), I rather re-apply PPF every 2-3 years and still come out ahead.
@rage2 said he had it at some point and it sounded shitty iIRC.
I recall that thread. But that's was at least 5 years ago, tech must have changed, updated. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I think it’s fine for a rare car with a high dollar windshield that doesn’t get driven in inclement weather.
Basically, if you ever use your windshield wipers this isn’t a product for you.

I had some 'ceramic' or some liquid installed by GlassMasters. Could be a placebo but I swear it worked. Not sure if it is just standard ceramic coating and they just ran it over the windshield or what.
Cos...
That works to a degree until your wipers scrapes it off. Then you have to reapply. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
It does help reduce pitting on soft windshields.
This is still the issue today from what I’ve heard. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I got it in 2017, by 2020 I ripped it off. It had gotten so hard to see at night with it on I started hating driving the vehicle.
ive had ppf on my windshield for 5 years... some angles you can tell its there, but for the most part its great.
Never had any issues driving at night.

Depends on the car. This is the better way to go for a daily driver. But every time you take a car in to a glass shop you're risking: 1) damage to the car, 2) shitty inferior glass that was not as distortion free as what you previously had. I've even experienced BOTH from the same visit. (just my wife's Altima years ago, but still....)This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Sometimes the glass replacement shops do a perfect job and other times they end up scratching surrounding paint. My wife's GV70 was butchered. I have no experience with these films but Jeep and Bronco owners (these vehicles are highly susceptible to windshield chips) generally have decent things to say about Exoshield.
