Concept cars in London Blue and Miami Pink were revealed today. They look like every other concept car so I don't see how they have "copied nothing" imo. Production model won't look anything like these so I guess its irrelevant.

That being said, I question the demographic who has 100k GBP to purchase these. JaGUar has already admitted that their current customer base (who does have that kind of money) won't want them, so who are they going to sell these to? They can't even sell the Hummer EV in NA, so who is JaGUar EV for? Is their new competition people who want to pay more for a Tesla maybe? I fail to see how this solves their sales issues?

I think the whole reason Jaguar needs to rebrand is because they can't compete in saturated market segments with majors. "Wouldn't it be better to make a car that competes with the 3 and 5 series" was their previous business model, and they got crushed by majors who do it better and faster. Trying to compete with the Model 3 and Polestar is just a repeat of the same failure, and keeps them on the same path to stagnation.

Yeah, they recognize that they are completely fuck unless they make a radical shift. So, they've made a radical shift.... I don't think it's going to work, but doing nothing was an active decision to die and this is at least a decision to mitigate death.
