If you are an employer and your best method of managing your "white collar" employees performance is badge scans, than you are alredy fucked.

I mean I’ll fuck off if it’s going to hail on my commute?

Companies want their staff to be in the office for work. Staff want to disobey and think "coffee badging" is going to get them off the hook and have the company be ok with them either being partial or fulltime work from home despite company policy.

Basically some new coined term to get people on a bandwagon to get policies changed and hope companies realize that people don't need to be in the office to be productive.

The Tldr is that companies who care where thier employees are, still don't know where thier employees are, and employees figured that out.

Interesting. I can’t imagine this being a factor in my life. Sucks to suck, I suppose.

Companies who don't know what their employees are accomplishing, regardless of their location, are taking a long walk on a short plank.
I got a new boss who booked her entire calendar from 8-5 daily and closed her door. She got away with that for 7 months. I'd have preferred if she got away with that for fewer than 3 months, but the market established her value and now she's gone.

Once had a female colleague who thought it was a good idea to book a public 3 hour slot in her calendar as THURS PMS every 2 weeks.

Hate to say it but our workforce was way too much of kindergarteners for that nonsense to go unnoticed.

7 months is not bad. Some places it would be 2 years, then she would be put on a performance plan, and then she'll go on paid stress leave for another 2 years.
