    Default Over filling oil pan...

I have a friend with a 91 Talon TSI and when doing an oil change he over filled the oil pan

My question is, what reprocutions (sp) can happen from this? could his turbo possibly be effected?

    thanks for any input guys.

    how much over filled?

i'd just undo the drain plug a crack and let some of the oil out. takes 5 minutes.

You can check the thread out here. There are some ideas on what to do, as well as what can happen. Hope that helps.

5 in the DSM will be fine...it really holds about 4.5 to 4.8 liters, so its really not that much overfilled...you will be ok man, but if you wanna, go ahead and drain half a liter out of the crankcase...

Personally I would just leave it...
