    Default Travel Insurance

I'm heading to South America in a little over a month and I'm thinking travel insurance might be a good idea as there will be stretches of the trip will be in some remote areas. I'd hate to be stuck with a pretty hefty bill should there be any accidents.

Do any of you guys have recommendations for travel insurance providers and have any of you had to make claims?

I've got some annual coverage through RBC but it's nothing fancy/I've never had to claim anything. I did come across Costco recently, and they sell it through Manulife: https://www.manulife-insurance.ca/co...insurance.html

AMA also sell you manulife plans unless they changed. Last time I had to get it is for my folks travel to US pre-covid.

But yeah, check you work plan. I have been covered by then since like forever.

If you have an AMEX or any other credit card with an annual fee you likely have coverage as well
