minidisc head unit ...

i'm new here guys, so please go easy on me if this is a repeated thread or whatnot. basically, i've just got my new car, and i want to put a new minidisc head unit in. however, i'm not really sure what to get. i don't really want to spend more than £300 ($450) on it, but i do want a good one. any suggestions??? any feedback'd be much appreciated. cheers guys. Ya over here Sony is your best bet. I bought one like 5 years ago and still have it. I think its still the only minidisc deck you can get. Never caught on here though, but I still love mine. I would reccommend Sony because they were the first ones and have lots of extra features. I paid $400 back then but they should be cheaper now.

I've had a whole bunch of MD decks, ranging from entry level sony, to the dog animation sony, and the best (IMO) was my Pioneer MEH-P9000R. It had the most features, built in crossover, everything you wanted. Sound quality was top notch. I loved that deck... performs better than my current Pioneer Premium MP3 deck.
