    Question Boyfriend put "zymol'' wax on blue rsx...

    ok so 'zymol' wax on blue rsx= filmy gross finish... and now my boyfriend can't get it off his car.... any sugggestions on what to use to get it off?! obviously he did the wax job wrong.... but nonetheless the film needs to come off.. and we tried takign it through a power wash and then using car soap to get it off but it wont come off.... suggestions ?

    It probably just needs to be buffed harder. Wax is funny like that.

    I did the same thing.... I had to cut-polish the panels i "waxed". Took a long time and alot of wax, but it worked...

    yeah dish soap like googe said will take it off, wax is like grease for dawn and it "cuts through it"

    ya if you let zymol dry it doesn't come off. your supose to do a 1' x 1' section at a time. buff on, buff off 30 seconds later
    Machining, Fabricating, Welding etc.

    and don't wax in direct sunlight as it basically will cook the wax onto your car and it will take allot buffing to get it off.

    easy to do?

    Turtle wax is cheap and looks pretty good. For a perfect wax job, use mcguiars (sp) gold class wax. It looks freakin great.

    gold class meg. wax with meguires microfiber cloth. no scrubing required, apply it like normal (takes time) then wipe it off, so easy to get off..

    Don't use dish soap.

    Buff hard. If that doesn't work, use a clay bar.

    I have always used the turtle wax hard shell stuff, never had a problem

    I just bought the new turtle wax ultra shine or ultra classic, or ultra - something (don't have it here, it's in the garage)

    I must say wow!!!! puts the ol turtle wax to shame!

    and the wax buffing prob?, buff the begeezus outta it

    cleaned the SHIT out of the jetta today with meguairs gold class....looks like a mirror as spoonek9 said, meguiars gold class with microfibre towels =

    Nothing wrong with using it to completely strip the wax and other crap right off BUT you have to put another protectant back on after.

    Is Zymol actually good stuff if you apply it on right? From, past experience, I like 3M wax, it leaves a really nice shine.
