Any kind of beer, italian dressing, seasoning salt, teriyaki, pretty much anything. Be creative and see what you can come up with.
A friend of mine gave coke a try. Not sure how it turned out though.
Not marinade, but salt and pepper both sides!!! mmmmmmmm

I can't believe I'm driving Ferraris in those vids. I'd never be caught dead in one now.
Cattle boys bbq sauce. I use this to marinade everything before it hits the bbq.
BBQ sauce, worchestire sauce, and teriyaki are all great but you also gotta throw a little Montreal steak spice on those bad boys.
That combined with one of the said sauces, leave it for at least an hour or so and DAMN you'll have a mouth watering steak!
well i used the black label anyways along with some worchestershire(sp?) and pepper. It will spend the night in the fridge. Will post results tomorrow!

so does any kind of beer goes well with steak?? or is there a certain brand that goes especially well??
i am using black label which is about $6 for a six pack. Not the greatest beer out there.
well, i may be a vegetarian, but if you buy good steak, you shouldn't need any marinade or sauce - the taste of the dead cow should be enough
If you do want to marinade, you need a lighter sauce and something with oil in it to absorb into the meat. BBQ sauces and things like Coke, will add a lot of sugar to the meat which will cause the meat to burn easier due to the sugar caramilizing with the diraect heat of a barbeque. If you make a "marinade" like this, save it to brush on after your steak is done how you want it. Sugar is not a good thing to add to steak since you generally cook it at medium to medium high temperatires for shorter periods of time. It is a good thing to add to slower cooking meats like ribs and roasts where temperature isn't as much of a factor.
