    Default Hockey pools...

Just curious as to how you guys are drafting in your pools, and how much the pot is

For us, there's no draft order, just 10 rounds of simultaneous drafting, followed by a goalie pick. After a player has been picked, he can't be picked in a subsequent round, but multiple people can pick him in the same round (it's kind of hard to explain...). Everyone writes their pick on a sheet of paper and then flips them over at the same time so you can't base your pick on someone else's. So say there's person A, B and C. In round one, both person A and B pick Bertuzzi, and person C picks Moore. Both A and B get Bertuzzi as their first round picks, but for subsequent rounds no one can pick either Bertuzzi or Moore. I think this method is a lot better than the traditional draft order, cause there's absolutely no luck of the draw. Plus you have to gauge the demand for each player... and it's actually pretty interesting when you share a player with someone else. 1 point for goals, 1 point for assists, 2 points for shutouts.

There's only 7 people in our pool... so many people bitched out cause of finals! What the hell kind of an excuse is that? Ante is $20 and a 6 pack.

    We have 7 people. $20 each. Winner gets $100. 2nd gets $40.
Normal draft procedure. ie. Draft order.

1 pt for goals and assists (each)
    2 for a goalie win
5 for a shutout (in total; 2 for win, extra 3 for so)
    2 for goalie goal
    1 for goalie assist

How is the pool going when that much emphasis is placed on goalies? Haha, whoever had Belfour is laughing all the way to the bank

We have 15 people @ $20 each. I dont know how much splits will be as we havent decided yet. No draft procedure, just hand in a sheet with 8 forwards, 6 defenseman, 2 goalies. 1 point for goal, 1 point for assist, 1 point for goalie win, 1 extra point for shutout.
