    Default Newbie Introduction

    Hey,

I just thought I would introduce myself.

I am moving to Calgary in the end of May from Colorado.

    I drive a 1994 RX7 with 46000 miles.

Just thought I would comment that it is nice to see a local board, and I look forward to going to some meets.

    Thanks,

It is a pain in the ass to get in the country, but I think it is well worth it.

I spent 3 months trying to find one in this condition.

I was born there, but moved to the US when I was young. I am graduating in May and was offered a really great job, so I am moving back.

Now I just need to figure out where to live.

I am actually trailering the car up here on the back of a u-haul.

There is no way I would put the milage on the car when I can get a trailer for so cheap.

I will have to compared Canadian hospitality to Southern Hospitality since I lived in Texas for a while.

    Yes, welcome -
There are the rules, and then there are "The Rules..."

unformalized norms - true. That means that this forum is the sacrosanct domain of a small clique of locals who dont want nOObs using their bandwidth. And god help you if your opinion differs from theirs as you will be heaped with the most brainless insults humanly imaginable.

There is Good News, too...that small group is easy to identify, and ignore. Or you can turn the tables and have fun at their expense. What's the worst that can happen? You get Banned?
    Thats Funny.

Conversely, there are a majority of contributors who are helpful, knowledgeable, respectful, who have senses of humor, and are not full of their own sense of self importance.
These great people will also soon identify themselves.
    Watch, wait and see.

Just watch the responses to this post. Form your own opinion.

Hmmm. seems that I was wrong. There are far fewer trolls and cretins hereabouts than imagined in my alchohol hazed and paranoid mind.

Uh - so...disregard the bitter sarcastic intonation of mt above post. The flame war that precipitated it has been satisfactorily resolved.
Well, sort of - my post whoring still cost me 600 posts.
