H series Oil Consumption?

For all of you that have an H series, do you lose any oil from oil change to oil change? My dipstick level goes from the top mark to mid way between the marks between oil changes on my h23, but on my d15 theres virtually no loss. I've been told by some that this is normal for H-series engines, but would like to know if this occurs for anyone else.

When I was NA I lost about a 1L of oil per oil change and now I lose about 2L per oil change.

I'm about the same losing 1L. When I first got it 3 years back, I went through more oil, like 2L per change!!

It's not normal... but it does happen to everyone, even stock Preludes. I've seen stock preludes start using a lot of oil and blowing oil out the tailpipe as early as 90,000km.

From what it looks like, the H series motors aren't as robust as other honda motors.

I hardly lost anything on my last change. I've been changing it every 3500-4000 kms though, so maybe it doesn't seem as noticeable.

Yeah, after the first 4 months of use...I was put on honda's oil consumption log. After a month, it didn't burn as much oil as it did for that time....
