Major Radar Warning

Along 37th Street and Anderson Rd SW.

There was two separate radar traps along this stretch of construction. Yes I got caught by a cop in a van, I was going 86, when the cop pulled me over I thought the speed limit was 70 but it was really 50km/h.

He cut me some slack and gave me a "failure to obey traffic control device" instead of speeding, he said it saved me about $50.00. Still a $172.00 ticket.

Slow down in this area or you are going to get burned!

BTW, if you're doing 86 in a 70, construction zone or not, you have this ticket coming anyway.

It was a construction area, whenever you see construction on any major road, speed limit is always 50km/h. And you can bet that cops love to use these spots to nail speeders. I have to agree though, with all the construction going on, I would hate to be a worker and have cars wizzing by me a few feet away at anything higher then 50.

Thanks for the heads up though, definitely good luck with the break. Cop was obviously not having a bad day yet...or he was nailing so many people that he was rolling in tickets and could afford to take it easy on you.

Or he realized that I was an idiot by my reaction when he told me the speed limit was 50.

I was embarassed going 86 when I thought the speed limit was 70, then he said it was 50 and I was just like "holy shit are you serious?"
