Alright, I know the difference between the two, and obviously the cai is better. But how MUCH better. They cost more and are harder to install, so is it really worth it?

A little better. Worth the dollars. Really, only CAI's show a power gain worth spending some money on.

although thats true in most cases, for some reason i cant explain, certain cars will respond better to a short ram than they will to a full CAI. the KA24DE is a good example of that.Originally posted by Weapon_R

Hmm... I can't remember... what's the difference between the two?
I think, if memory serves me, a cold air intake is somewhat like an intercooler, and a short ram intake is one of these.

LOL, a CAI is NOT an intercooler at all. It is just a longer short ram intake which draws air from outside the engine bay rather than inside it.
Awesome... thanks.Originally posted by M_Power
