95 jetta gl > what are the common probs, what to expect ?

looking at 95 gl jetta. just wondering what type of common probs they have. I have read stuff about the electrical locks giving probs, etc. If anyone knows any info they can pass on, that would be great.

The more info you may have to pass on, the better. I just want to konw what to look for.

Also, when should the timing belt be done?
