do they make any diffrence?
Depends on the particular car they are applied to, but yes they make a difference...more so in some cars than others...
Tying suspension points together to acheive stiffness ALWAYS a good thing...you will notice better steering response, and initial turn in...

Cars like the Maxima, Camry, and Accord are all built a lil stiffer than say a Sentra, Corolla, and Civic...they will all benefit from stiffer chassis, and suspension points, but you would notice more of a difference on a stock Civic vs a stock Accord...

it also really depends on the quality of the bar. some bars are basically asthetic, while others do make a difference.
I have both front and rears on my stealth. Made a noticeable difference.

kinda on topic, but this thread got me thinkin that I could use some more stiffness. I found these on ebay but I am positive they are just for looks as the bar looks to be thinner than hell.

This second thing though I'm not sure about... Where would this fit on the car?

do rear lower tie bars make any difference? the ones that are about a foot long?

The only thing important for strut braces is that they are made of a strong material and that they fit the towers tightly. if there is any play in them after you install them, then they won't do much since the towers will still move and your car's frame will still flex.I found these on ebay but I am positive they are just for looks as the bar looks to be thinner than hell.

rear strut braces typically go in your trunk on the top of the two rear strut towersThis second thing though I'm not sure about... Where would this fit on the car?
and for Sky, you probably mean antisway bars - they control body roll (that feeling like the car is leaning in the opposite direction you are turning).

D., they also make lower rear tie bars, that act in a similar manner to that of Strut Tower Braces...essentially, they just tie together bottom suspension points to reduce flex...

These strut braces will definately help performance issues when planning on doing some heavy-duty cornering...ESPECIALLY on bumpy roads. The swat bars will definately assist in exactly that...the "sway" of the vehicle when cornering as well. The only difference in that strut braces help support the tower structure and sway bars help the car from leaning.
i just put a cusco one on my 240sx and you can definatley feel a difference in high speed turning and responsivnesss. as for some people who think some bars are for looks, they are all functional. It is a piece of steel/alum that stiffens the chasis.
