I have always wanted to try La Chaumiere. I love French Cuisine.

You sound like the type of guy who would buy a C-Class just so you could tell people you have a Benz.
So where did you end up taking your GF for her birthday? Also, did the two of you like the food and ambiance?
We ended up at Abruzzo Ristorante down on 8th st.
Appetizers:
Antipasto Abruzzo -- nice selection of melon, prosciutto, cappicollo ham, salami, olives, roasted red pepper and bocconcini.
Scampi al Burrio Agla -- Scampi baked in garlic, butter and parsley.
Main:
Fetuccini Alfredo -- the usual, her favorite.
Veal Portafolgio -- Veal stuffed with prosciutto, parmigano, mozza, parsley and mushrooms; smothered in brandy gravy -- very nice.
Dessert:
creme brulee and tiramisu -- both good, creme brulee wasn't the best I have had though.
Topped it off with a couple bottles of house red -- total was about $130 before tip.
Nice ambience with great service, I would go back.
Great reccomendation!!! Took her there last night for her bday, and I must say, AMAZING food, great service, and great atmosphere!!!!Originally posted by Kaos
Go to Oceana's.
The food there is great (SEAFOOD), the setting is perfect (CALM QUIET/ CANDLE LIT).
Its just off of 4th and 17th right beside LULULEMON (Close to Lucky's).
I go there for special occasions.
You'll thank me later
Definitely going back there, and not just for special occassions!!
hmm... I've always wanted to try Oceana's... maybe I will soon =)
