Race Card #28-You drive nails for a livin' ?

This is the Ford that almost made that a reality for Fred Lorenzen. He came down to race with the rebels and used up this Ford and his bank account and went back home to Elmhurst to be a carpenter again. But a fateful call around Christmas of 1960 changed his life and stock car record books forever. Another sweet build from my brother, Gator.

With the exception on the border and lettering, that is the original picture. I made a mask for the frame and lettering so the set would have a uniform look and then just changed the names and lettering to match each model. Both the car and the shop are 1/25 scale- shop 24" car 8".

erm, you didn't even really do a great job on the boarder, the picture is stcking out the right top side because it is crooked, and the boarder if all blurry n stuff....

Sorry to not measure up to your obviously high standards. This is just a preproduction image from a proposed card set that I thought you might like to see. I've noticed that the jackals seem to crowd around someone new here. I also notice that none of you had anything to say about the other picture lower on the board of the track scene. Maybe you guys can change wheels and colors but I not only take the original pictures but also build most of the subjects in those pics myself too. I appologize to the nice people here for this streetfight and will just leave if that's want you want. Didn't mean to cause a stink, just wanted to share some pics and maybe learn some stuff about photo manipulation.

its not bad that you posted your pictures, but thy are not photoshops, post them in the misc gallery, not the photoshop section.

Gonthro, they ARE photoshops, just because they aren't of some civic with a widebody kit, doesn't mean they don't belong there....

since when does CHOPing refer to photoshop alone. i used to chop pictures in paint back in the day. got pretty good at it too. but its a hell of a lot easier in photoshop. someone who can make a quality picture in paint deserves more praise than someone who can do it in photoshop. IMO.
