    Default U-Turn Ticket -- YadaYadaYada

7:32am this morning. U-turn made at lights. Still dark out -- very tired. Cop pulls me over in parking lot. Comes up, tells me "I pulled you over for the u-turn at such and such a street". Same shit, different day. I get a ticket for $69 little ones (good ole` CDN dollar).

I want to fight this ticket because it's (supposedly) three demerits. I know what I did wrong; never admitted to it, just don't want the points against me. You guys recommend I fight it? Should I plead "reg. owner", "not guilty" or "guilty"?

Let me know, I don't really care about such a bullshit ticket, but at the end of the day, I want to feel better about helping fight the system!

    Cheers!

    Peter

Just go fight it, I got a U-Turn ticket a few years back and won in court!

Just mention why some places have specifically a "No U-turn" sign while others don't and that you are under the assumption that U-Turns are indeed legal when its safe

I always though u-turns were illegal at intersections with lights and where posted

I'd still try and fight it though

Oh I'm going to fight it, there's no question. If Benny can have his "honking being an idiot" ticket reduced/deleted, so can I!

Just need to know what to plead!

I dont think its three demerits for Illegal U-Turn...but this one is an actual set in stone moving violation so it is more dificult to fight...mine was stunting, which is so broad...anyways, good luck

So is it "illegal u-turn" or is it for "failure to observe traffic signs" or something like that

Yah man, you know I will!!

For some reason, I'm not upset/disturbed by the fact I was pulled over. Granted it was probably because I had slept 2hrs that night (thanks to my god-damn early morning meeting), but frankly, the cop was ok, I was ok, and now I'm gonna fight it. No sign, the light was green turning yellow.

    Cheers!

I just got a ticket on friday for illegal left turn. I'm gonna go see the prosecutor but don't know when I can go?

Anyways you used to be able to turn left before 9 or 9:30...I went everyday last year.

First time this year (after construction on crowchild) I turn in and a cop waves me down. They changed the sign to no left turns at any time.

Gonna try to get the ticket dropped, if not, then reduced to a R.O.

Its illegal to do a u-turn basiclly any ware... the only place it is allowed is in a uncontrolled intersection....

buy your self a highway traffic act booklet, youll be amazed at how much shit is illegal.

Yeah uncontrolled intersections you can do "three-point U-turns" which is basically like turning at every street until you've done a big u-turn.

U-turns as we know them are illegal everywhere. For good reason too.
