    Default alternator removal G2 integra

how the hell does it come out!

So far ive uppluged all the electrical connections, removed the bolts holding it in place. pulled out the left drive axle.

my haynes manual made it sound so easy, they even have a picture of them lowering it form the front of the engine, too bad the alternator comes out the back of it

    am im missing somthing here

It comes out the bottom, although some has successfully tried to take it out up above and not remove the left axle.

What he meant was take the bolts off the top bracket and carefully slide it down the bottom...

    wooohooo! its out!

my god, 6 hours for an alternator, seems there is no way in hell i can see it coming out the top, unless your working on a integra without power steering and air conditioning lines in your way.

so the Haynes manual is unless.

    for future reference

    disconnect battery.
    remove electrical connections off alternator.
loosen the hub nut and wheel nuts with a breaker bar.
jack the car up and set it on some jack stands.
remove the wheel and hub nut
remove the brake caliper and hang it with some wire so you don't damage the brake line.
remove the tie-rod and lower ball joint, you may need a ball joint spliter.
pop the axle off the hub thingy
use a pry bar to pop out the dirve axle.
from the top remove the alternator adjuster bolt, and form the bottom remove the alternators pivot bolt
now push the alternator off the mounting bracket and out of your way.
remove the 3 bolts holding the bottom bracket in place
with the bracket out of the way pull out the alternator.
