Karaoke

Anyone have a karaoke player? What exactly do you need to set up karaoke? Since I am planning a home theatre, I just want to stup karaoke as well. Do i just need a karaoke player? or do I need an amp and mixer or?? please help fill me in!

You can get a shitty karaoke machine, or you can get a laserdisc player and buy an amplifier and speakers to make it sound good. Your choice.

you can get both laserdisc and dvd karaoke machines, but the laserdisc ones are becoming obsolete nowadays

for the most basic setup, you just need a karaoke machine, a tv, and a mic... you can worry about the amp and hi-fi system later if you really want to hear yourself singing in full 7.1 speaker home theater quality

a lot of chinese stores carry karaoke machines... you might want to try Video and Sound as a starting point

you can get them at radioshack...there's a tiny one called iktv i think it even plays dvd's
