Question What happened to Trance and hardhouse

Where did all the Trance and Hardhouse go... ????

Now it's all Rap, R&B and chicks singing about playin guys, guy's singin about playin chicks, cap this , smoke that....bla bla bla..

What happened??? I know there is a few of you that still
appreciate the art of trance and hardhouse... But lately it's been
    abolished from everywhere....

They used to sneak in some at the bars, now nothing, I don't think people minded that much...all we ask is for a little ...

I guess it was just an "E" trend everyone had....

I love the stuff, I got 3 GiG's of live sets taken at various clubs in Ibiza, ranging from Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk, Oakenfold..etc...
If you guys have any DJ requests give me a yell and I can dig around

It good to see that some people still like it..

Jeff.......Just because you think everyone North America hates
Trance and Techno doesn't mean you don't have to like it..

I don't like things because everyone else does, I like them because I like them....

If everyone jumped of a bridge would you...????

Paul Oakenfold may not be a L.L. cooljay or slim shadey..
But he make $50K usd for playing music for 2 hours..
Not to bad, I guess some people still like it..

I guess it's still popular in europe, like fashion and cars....
Things everyone in North America likes over Homegrown stuff..

I still like some Hip hop and R&B, like Bonethugs, Fugees, Usher...etc... I just don't like the stupid shit... you know what I'm talking about.. Like that song "because I got high" It's the dumbest sog I ever heard,.......Shit!!

i don't think good trance has disapeared. u just have to look for it harder. no, you won't be hearing it on top 40 radio or bars anytime soon unless they're playing sandstorm (*ugh*)

u just gotta look for it, like i said, BT is in e-town this weekend. and calgary seems to get more trance dj's than edmonton.

    digweed played calgary, not edmonton
tiesto and tall paul played calgary, not edmonton (2nd time for tiesto)
ferry corsten played calgary, not edmonton

did armin van buren hit calgary? he played edmonton in june i think and that was a pure trance/progressive set

actually, i think it's more into the $1000 if not $10,000 USD for a few hours of work. but you get the point

being a producer as well as a dj will command you a higher fee

No Dude he really gets paid $50k per session, he's the highest paid Dj in the world....It said somewhere in a Dj mag...

I know that good trance is still around, but I wonder why everyone else tossed it like a Fad, sure there are still good DJ's that goto raves, but why not a Radio station or something..
Vancouver has a sweet Trance/hardhouse station...

sorry dude...u forgot the 'k' in your original post. that kinda threw me off

because for some it was a Fad. people en masse are sheep. like only what is force fed them. i don't think there's enough of a market in either edmonton or calgary for an all electronica music station. i mean, who's gonna pay for advertising on an all electronica advertising.
