Secret Street -- June 18th

The weather is looking alright for this friday's secret street. If it's alright, I will definately be down there spectating, but who all's going?

According to the weather network, a high of 16 on friday, with 30 % chance of percipitation. Hopefully that means the rains in calgary will have stopped by then, and it'll be a nice night for the 1/4 and the auto-X.

Secret street is at race city speedway in south east calgary, and is designed to keep racing (mostly street racing) on the track where is belongs. Every friday evening there are quarter mile races, and new this year is an auto cross track in the oval. If the weather's good, there's usually a good turn out. Good idea to bring a warm sweater or something for once the sun goes down (if oyu're spectating like me), and once it becomes bug season, bug spray is a good plan too. I don't have a car that I can put on the track, but I am there to spectate when ever I have the time and the weather is alright.

Didn't you have the FMIC in over a month ago, of is it being finished up now?

I'll be there on Sunday for the Father's Day event hopefully.

Okay, it's quarer to 7, it's an absolutely beautiful day, and sohuld continue to be a great night. I am hoping for a nice turnout, as I will be down and I got a friend or two coming with me. Hope to see a bunch of you down there driving/spectating.

We were there at 10:30, wish we had gotten there earlier. But what ever, I was there in time to see that duster that had a 540 dropped in put up a 8.85 (not a typo) 8.85!!!, at 153 mph. It was insane.

Last night was a great night for the drags, but the auto cross didn't see many fans, or many racers . Anyways, I think a good time to get there is around 9, I believe that's when the races start. But usually they begin a bit early, and I have seen em run as late as 1.
