1- theres some guy at my school just got a 240sx 1990 hatch
2- he challenged me to race against my jimmy
3- hes a new driver with a STOCK 5SPEED
4- do i have a chance with my beast?

how new is a new driver ? if he dosen't know how to shift very well you'll probbaly take him im not sure about this because i don't race.

You might as well. New driver or not, a stock 240 is only running 140hp. Go teach this chump a lesson.

i thought it was 155hp? the stock 240 is pretty fast with lots of torque.... if he knows somewhat how to shift he probably has your beat....

The gear ratio is very week on the low end of a 89-93 240sx, they are not that fast... But your jimmy is probably auto and you won't get that good of a start of... As long as you guy's do a straight race and no turning, you probably will beat him..
That for the four cylinder, I think they might make a 6 cylinder in that year...??? Thoughs would be faster.

those 240sxes are slow. i have no idea how fast a jimmy is. probably not too fast either.

240's aren't fast:

Never had 6 cylinders. Silvias and 240/180's all were 4 bangers.

well theres not really any fast cars at my school..mostly vans,family cars....i think theres maybe a newer prelude only thats prob the fastest we have
