    Default Turbocharging an integra

    Hi all,

i am fairly new to the honda world, but have been modifying dsm's for about 6 years. My new project car is a 91 integra that i'm looking to turbocharge.

As i see it this is what i need:

    Turbo (duh)
    Intercooler
    Custom piping
    Custom Manifold
    BOV
    Injectors
    Fuel Pump
    S-AFC
    Custom Exhaust

    Do i need anything else?
Does anyone make a custom manifold for the B18A to a Mitsu turbo?
Has anyone had fueling problems with these motors?
Does the rest of the drivetrain hold up?
Should i consider a VTEC head swap?

    any help would be appreciated.

Don't bother with an safc. Grab an obd1 ecu, a harness and run uberdata. I can make you a basic manifold and downpipe for a mitsu turbo $650

    Similar to this

    Machining, Fabricating, Welding etc.

The AFC/injector setup is not easy to set up, nor very reliable. Uberdata is free, lots of guys here will help you out, and you'd end up spending about the same amount of dollars for a very good system - superior to the afc/injector setup.

Btw - No one knows his turbo tegs like Legendboy - check out his manifolds, they are far superior and way cheaper to any store bought brands i've seen.

As for an LS/Vtec turbo setup, unless you have 6k to do it, you won't get a reliable setup IMO. The ls/vtec is not cheap, and to reliably turbo it is a lot more expensive than talking to legendboy and the other guys around here on a custom setup.

Do you warranty your manifold and downpipe by any chance? I'm thinking of going in this route for a TD05 18G. Very nice manifold, is it stainless steel?

An FMU is a hack, it won't give you a perfect Air Fuel Ratio. Not to mention you have zero control of timing with an FMU (it's just a fuel control device). Bad things happen when you run too rich or too lean, not to mention a loss in power.

i think there was already a discussion about FMUss on here. FMUs are for posers, people who buy kits, and cars that don't have any other means of altering the fuel tables/injector sizes.

most people make the mistake of not using proper fuel management, such as a FMU, Rage pretty much covered all the problems with FMUs.

I see... hes got a b16a I think. Anyway a buddy of mine suggested the sfmu, so far he hasn't had any problems but bigger injectors would be a +.
