Default Great A1 VW Vid on a road course...

I think this video is awesome, not just because its a VW, but because it a road course and doont well. This little vw is a pretty cool car. Has an Audi 1.8 20V (non turbo) dropped into it, 178 WHP in a 1750lb car... Pulls pretty good. *Sigh*...my goal just changed...

    SpECS:

    Engine:

Audi A4 2.0 liter 20v with baffled sump and windage tray, lightened and balanced bottom end and modified 16v pistons. Ported 20v head with crane billet cams and kent vernier pulley. 45mm Jenvey throttle bodies and MBE engine management system. Custom made 3 core radiator, slimline fan and silicon hoses. One off 4-2-1 exhaust manifold with supersprint exhaust and heavy duty mounts. Produces 178bhp@wheels

    Chassis:
Mk2 020 16v transmission with a 4:2 final drive, Quaiffe LSD, modiefied driveshafts, rose jointed gear linkages and short throw lever, Koni top adjustable dampers, Eibach springs and anti-roll bars. Bonrath top mounts, modifies front struts, Scirocco 16v front lower strur brace, triple point rear strut brace, Polyurethane bushes everywhere. Competition pedal box. Volvo 240 four pot calipers on Rover 216 discs front and MK2 16v rear disc conversion. Goodridge hoses and padgid pads all round.

You know the engine builder knows his stuff when they have nice short and straight intake runners.
You start with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience before you empty the bag of luck.

That was pretty impressive. Where was that vid taken? Obviously not in north america because some of the cars are right hand drive. An interesting looking track.
