    Default BMW Hammerhead Shark

    This is No Photoshop!

(But I didn't found any other suitable thread)

This is not a production model, it's a 1.612-parts Prototype I craeted to be my dream. (Without any outside help!!)

5 weeks of work I have done with this in Nov. 2002. Suropes biggest car magazine "Auto Bild" wrote:

Why is it so far fetched someone has a 3d Rendering program and knows how to use it?
I think it looks pretty cool.
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague.”

I think he meant that he didn't make it in Photoshop, but posted it in the Photoshop Gallery anyways.

    Looks pretty nice.

    You're Right!!!!!!

    Sorry, my english.
I made this with an industry engineering program (CAD/CAM) "CATIA V FSO" by Dassault Systemes (France). It is the major system at Dassault Aerospace, Boeing, Airbus, all carmakers except GM, Renault, Nissan.
The pictures are computer generated Images from the data assembly. You need no Graphic program to do this (renderer included in program, or export via stl data into 3DSMAX)
This a concept car without engine etc.
    It is ready for production.
BMW has no interest for my work, because I have no masters degree of design. On the other hand I don't think that they're trust me. They think that is impossible that any gay can do this. But I can. Why? Because its passion for cars and simple creativity, not the "doctor title" alone.

For my seriousness here are some english press articles from the past (just about me):

    press01
    press2
    Canadian Press!!

But why does every one hate this car (except
    AquamosH)

    AMAZING WORK !!!
    i love the M6 Concept.
    Great details on the rims.
And the rear is just fantastic.
I'm sure BMW would like this design instead of the "bangled"-design... lol

I just started with 3dsmax6 a few days ago. What can i say ? I feel like

    Some questions:
    - done in Rhino/Maya/Lightwave/3dsmax ?
    - can you help me with some tip & tricks ?
    - are you on any 3d forum/board ?

Keep up that great work, man

    PS:
schöne Grüße aus dem Ruhrgebiet !!!

    Thank's a lot!
    Thank's a lot!

Yes, it is a little contrabangle.
The images with the german license plate are done in CATIA, the rest was too heavy with 1.1 GB. (had about 200 computer crashs)

I'm not 3D expert, but I know the weakness of the programs. I used many workarounds. And you're getting old with it. 3DMAX is the one to use for heavy data imports. Some lights, and enter. But it needs 2 or 3 days before done.

I only used the parts which you can see. It means just two wheels, less interior etc.

Important: turn off any extra applications like raytracing etc. (it makes life easier)

    I'm crazy, I know.

PS: schöne Grüße aus Berlin !!!
