I saw that somewhere and wanted it and never picked it up for some reason. Really love that. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

The 6.2 really does seem unloved by the aftermarket compared to the 5.0 and 7.3. What's the plan for it?
Thanks man! This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Picked it up from Art Space and Design in the CORE mall.
Upgrade? Downgrade? Guess it depends on how you look at it for the truck. While many will wonder why you would go from a 261HD to a 241C .. well the 241C has far better aftermarket support and can be beefed up a lot. Its also a lot more friendly to a truck with a 6" lift.
Picked up a new santoku knife while in Japan. Nothing crazy, Damascus steel, traditional handle. Wife chose it. Nothing crazy, but looks pretty cool. I know some people on here like this kind of stuff.
Very much like. Santoku is probably my favourite knife shape.

That's a nice-looking blade for sure. Where did you pick it up, Kappabashi?
At Tower Knifes in Osaka. We did go to Kappabashi at the end during our last few days in Tokyo just to look around at kitchen gadgets, but we were mostly outside of that area, so we bought it earlier in the trip while in Osaka. We looked at a few knife stores in Osaka as well, but Tower Knifes seemed to be one of the highest rated and I got a good impression at the store when I visited by myself earlier, before coming back a while later with the wife to make her final selection. She is the one who wanted the knife as she is the primary cook. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Tower Knifes has a website as well if anyone is interested. They ship to Canada.

Beautiful, nice find!
I'm far from a knife expert but the prices along Kappabashi and at Knife Wear were not really different from what I could tell.
Dishware on the other hand, the exact same bowls were like equiv. $3 but sell for almost $40 here in Calgary. Another store in Kyoto (On the Table, Kyoto) has beautiful dishes and cheap, sadly don't ship to Canada.
Ultracrepidarian
That's a pretty darn good price for a VG10 damascus blade, at least in my opinion. You'll enjoy that baby in the kitchen fo'sho;.

Indeed he is. My wife knew this fact and asked the staff there about him. Apparently he was born in Canada but move to Ireland or something at 2y.o, and then sometime later to Japan and been there for many years and opened this shop. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member.
