Yea for sure, I suppose I am prepared for that. Also looking forward to being able to check-in first as I remember they always say people with babies/young kids check in first. Haha. Only time I ever got that treatment before was when in business class but now I get to enjoy the benefit for free. lol
That’s been pretty watered down too with people abusing it.

You will board earlier, but probably after people with legit disabilities and people with status.

0% chance I'd buy a stroller that collapses like that just for the feature of putting it in overhead. You're buying for a niche use case, and for everything else you are compromising (less robust construction, smaller wheels that aren't as good for pushing, etc). We travelled a lot with an uppababy g-luxe and got their carry bag to gate check it. It was perfectly fine.
I don’t think I have touched our fancy giant Nuna stroller in over a year. The folding umbrella stroller is a million times more versatile.

Yeah most flights I've been on are zone 1 / top tier rewards members, then people needing assistance, families & exit row, then zone 2 / mid tier rewards members, then the plebs.

Yeah the one I mentioned is also an umbrella stroller, it’s just not a teeny tiny carryon sized one. We also had a big nuna stroller that was a dust collector after the kid was a few months old.

We traveled with our second to Mexico when he was only 3 months old. We got him his own seat which was the first huge win and then second, we brought his full stroller that the car seat attached too. They make you gate check your shit anyways and its free so why not. The benefit of having the tools FAR outweighed any PITA packing it to our destination.

Actually I check it in lol, but it's way better than a full size when you go travel. No fucking way a full size would work in any Asian country (HK/Japan/Korea etc). A lot of times to get anywhere you'll need to collapse it (elevator/escalator/tight doors etc.). You cant get to half the restaurants if you have a stroller that doesn't collapse

I mean... it's pretty safe and easy to push so I dont know what you're saying.

The only real way to win at strollers is to get them the fuck out of strollers as fast as possible. I think ours were 90% out of strollers by 104 weeks.

Apparently I should have specified that I wasn’t suggesting a full size stroller, just a different umbrella stroller. But here we are.

If uppababy has somehow cracked the nut on making something fold to half the size but still be just as robust, that’s awesome.

Yep, the day you stop bringing strollers is the day you start living. Also don't carry the little shits. Once they are too tired to walk, you go home.

So glad I'm way past the stroller stage of life.

We had a much older version of this for travel: https://gb-online.com/en-en/strollers/qbit-all-city
Key was lie flat for naps.

It had a bag and was small enough to put in the overhead bin so you didn't have to gate check it. My kids have travelled more in the 5 years of their lives than I did in the first 35 of mine.
