well i definitely relate to the "competing sources of heat" challenge, i just solve it caveman style, i turn off, or set low, the forced air for the zone w/ radiant heat.

I too enjoy the "warm to the touch" sensation of the floor. I find that the three zones I have in the basement are unnecessarily complicated. Eg it's a ~1400 sqft basement. it didnt need 3 zones, and one will invariably overpower (in terms of contribution to heat in the basement) the other which means some parts of the floor feel cold. Annoying. No good caveman solution to that yet, short of hardwiring tstat zones together (which... i may do)
    My setup is hella caveman.

Basically on October I fuck with the knobs until I have it dialed in, then once summer hits I shut them all

There is a solenoid down below that used to be wired into a tstat, but it only turns on and off as a single zone so using it causes its own issues. I have found always on and low ish flow rates to be the way to go.

New house means new gym. Working with alot less space this go around. Found the XPX rack from Ironax. Cant argue with the price at all.
