2 years? Is that supposed to be a long time for an appliance?
Just you wait

Better keep it down or a cranky member will rise from lurker-ville and slap you with some Neg Rep.
I use to be red. True story.
I have replaced the icemaker twice on my GE unit...
Still cheaper than buying a new one.

My Samsung appliances are breaking as you read this.
I had a Samsung fridge die on me at the 8-yr mark. No ice/water dispenser either. Bottom freezer, french-door style fridge-top. Got a few quotes and basically all the techs said to just buy a new fridge instead. Says something there...
I replaced it with a Frigidaire that DOES have both ice & water dispensing. Same bottom freezer, french-door style fridge-top as the Samsung. 5 yrs into it now; so far so good!

Basically any Samsung fridge will die a premature death since the parts that matter are so poorly made.
407. Smallest one I could find. Width was 10"ish less then the 408 If I remember correctly. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
And yup 2 sides are om 2x8s for now. I have a harsh slant due to only having 1 center drain. Spent a couple hours leveling this thing due to the floor.
Ordered from Babco, $3800 delivered to a warehouse in Edmonton. $50 cash to my neighbor for his 16ft trailer to go pickup. And then installed the rest my self. I had quotes on delivery anywhere from $500-$800 and install another $800-1000. F that.

Our Frigidaire has been good for 11 years, has the internal water spout and ice box. Praying to sweet baby jeebus it lasts a few more years. Cleaned out the vents and dusted it all out recently, tell it it's a loved fridge every day

We just got one of the LG Wash Tower set up's with the heat pump dryer rather than a vented dryer. Pretty slick unit and much lower profile off the wall since no venting is needed. Having all the control on the middle rather than a traditional stacked washer and dryer is nice for the shorter folks out there, ie my lady...
No venting needed? What is this witchcraft

Whole home humidifier more like it. I approve.

Wow. This is actually worth getting. Does the NA dryer model have a hose for the water? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
It uses a heat pump and recycles heat and that is about all I know. It uses a crap ton less energy though which is awesome for the electricity bill. I was worried it would take much longer to cycle but I have not noticed any issues timing wise drying a full load. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Overall I am impressed so far!
We have a Miele heat pump dryer.
It does take longer to dry, but you don't need a vent and it runs 120v. There is a drain line that you just put in the same drain as the washer. The laundry room is noticeably less dusty.

120v and no vent?? That makes moving the laundry to a new floor so much more appealing
Totally worth it just for the elec $ savings.
the dryer does have steam capability so it does have a hook up that way. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
