the dryer does have steam capability so it does have a hook up that way.
I meant for the waste water, but I guess the water from the heat exchanger exits from the washer hose. Smrt design.

I’m just happy I mentally wrote off all of my Samsung appliances when I moved in. 2/3 already have serious problems.
I just joined that boat. I got a problem where I like my shit to match and even though everything else is samsung I couldnt do it with the fridge after reading all the reviews. Samsung had a nice one with the big screen on the door and even the new bespoke which were all cheaper than the one I got but I just couldn't do it. There's bad reviews across the board with the manufacturers but samsung is by far the worst

2 years? Is that supposed to be a long time for an appliance?

    Just you wait
In todays standards thats about half the lifespan so maybe

and I did not have the only say in the matter (most people just want it done ASAP and don't care about quality).

If anything we made a better decision because we had a consensus and were all on the same page.

We have a Miele heat pump dryer.

It does take longer to dry, but you don't need a vent and it runs 120v. There is a drain line that you just put in the same drain as the washer. The laundry room is noticeably less dusty.
I wonder if the length in time makes the difference between using 110v to 220v worth it.

The advantage isn't in cost savings, it's being able to put it pretty much anywhere in your house without having to run a big wire and cut a hole in the wall.

The water has to go somewhere, either into a drain or into the container that you have to empty.

Yeah, the dryer can go anywhere.

It was setup to drain into the container that is used for steam as there is no water hookup. We had to dump it once every 10 or so loads as the washer spins clothese nearly dry. Wasn't a big deal and I would usually get to it before it told me it was full. But the wife didn't do it when I was a away for the week and the dryer stopped working of course. So I pulled the stack out and plumbed it to the drain.

Mine does go into the normal washer drain (the double stack style I have anyways). My understanding is the ones that don't use the drain have a water collection chamber you just manually dump as required. It just does not need an air vent which is the biggest hindrance for placement. Now it can be pushed pretty much right up to the wall rather than leaving 6 inches.

It uses a heat pump and recycles heat and that is about all I know. It uses a crap ton less energy though which is awesome for the electricity bill. I was worried it would take much longer to cycle but I have not noticed any issues timing wise drying a full load.

Overall I am impressed so far!

It’s too bad my 12 year old Samsung washer and dryer and still ticking away problem free. Will need to continue to have to transfer clothes through all the levels

At 2.9 cubic feet for the washer and 4.4cf for the dryer, that Costco one would be okay for small loads, but we need one with much more volume space. The LG WashTower I got has 5.2cf and 7.2cf which is way better for us.

    407. Smallest one I could find. Width was 10"ish less then the 408 If I remember correctly.

And yup 2 sides are om 2x8s for now. I have a harsh slant due to only having 1 center drain. Spent a couple hours leveling this thing due to the floor.

Ordered from Babco, $3800 delivered to a warehouse in Edmonton. $50 cash to my neighbor for his 16ft trailer to go pickup. And then installed the rest my self. I had quotes on delivery anywhere from $500-$800 and install another $800-1000. F that.
Thanks for posting the details. 10 inch is a huge difference in garage space. Will check it out. I had only looked at the 408.Babco is over here in Langley I believe, not too far from my home, hopefully delivery etc isn't much.

Well the MX master 3 was choosing to get flaky with the scroll wheel again (already replaced it once under warranty for this, and definitely wasn't happy with logitechs customer service last time).

Tried a Glorious I - wanted to see what the "light mouse" thing was about, but it was seriously uncomfortable and too small for me.

So I went hunting for the biggest "sasquatch hand" size mouse I could find. Spatha X delivers - still too small but noticably bigger than the MX master. Now to try to get used to it.

The docks kinda cool but the Asus software sucks, Aura is supposed to be set to red LEDs mouse and dock, but it keeps reverting to green on the dock for top DPI button to show charge state for some reason.

I don't know if this count since I bought it from kijiji. I picked up both for $35 bucks barely used. Tested them out and they sound awesome.

I'm just here to admit that I enjoyed reading about appliances far more than I should have.

Have one in the bedroom and it's great. Considering selling the Nvidia Shield I have in the living room and just getting another Fire stick

I’ve been told I’m not old yet, even though I feel like it. I think your bday has to be somewhere around the end of WWII to qualify as old around these parts.
