Anywhere local or in Canada to buy Pet Doors (for through walls)?
I am looking at putting in a pet door for my miniature schnauzer. Unfortunately we do not have a back door in our house (only a sliding glass patio door). This means we are unable to put the pet door through a screen door or something similar. I have seen the doors you can put in beside your patio sliding glass door but am not crazy about those. I was wondering if anyone has ever put a pet door through an outside wall? We have our spare bathroom downstairs which leads to the side of the house and backyard. This is a perfect spot to put the dog door as the dog will have to come through there first instead of tracking mud immediately into our living room (when its been raining or wet). Most dog doors sold in the mainstream petstores (PetSmart, PetCetera, Petland, etc..) are only meant to go through screen doors and not outer walls. Anyone have any reccomendations on brands, places to purchase these either locally or in Canada (or even in the States if reasonable)? Thanks in advance for all your help.
